I was enjoying the story very much but then it seemed to bizarrely end with no conclusion and switched to another story. The story is performed much more professionally in this game with decent voice acting and graphical cut scenes. The puzzles vary in difficulty and length but they are all manageable and proved to be a challenging and rewarding experience. I was able to complete all puzzles without using too many hints. There is still a handy hints system which will cut down your game time considerably if used but it will only give you pointers and not solutions. The new oculus also behaves like the temporis by showing blueprints and revealing hidden clues. The main difference is the game mechanics have changed from the oculus temporis, where you could see hidden objects and watch reenactments of events, to the oculus perpetua where you physically travel back in time and alter things there to affect events in current time.
